Isle of Palms Nest #17 at 55th Ave June 24

Ann Thompson, Elaine Martin and Karen Novak discovered loggerhead tracks right at the 55th Avenue Path in Wild Dunes. This nest was not quite high enough off the flat beach there, so of the 106 eggs laid 105 of them were relocated a little higher at that same location. One egg was used as the sample for the genetics research project. This is part of a DNA study all along the Atlantic coast.
