Last night a loggerhead laid eggs low on the beach at the very crowded part of Wild Dunes Resort near the Boardwalk Inn/Grand Pavilion.. The tracks and nest were discovered by Bev Miller on morning patrol with her daughter next to a beach towel which was left nearby. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and other items should never be left out overnight for this reason. Aelecia Rideout was covering the other half of this section of beach. The blowing sand made the field signs difficult to see, but 99 eggs were discovered by the team and relocated to a suitable dune near 31st Avenue.
