Two Days ago there were five sets of loggerhead tracks on Sullivan's Island between Station 31 and Station 24 Streets. But nothing the next night. However, last night a turtle with the same distance between her rear flippers made a false crawl and also laid 99 eggs just NE of the Fort Moultrie Station 13 access path. Jenn Gragg and Diane Brumley were on patrol just before the rain came and reported these two sets of tracks near the Fort. The eggs were laid in an area that washes over repeatedly below the spring tide line. They were relocated to a new dune near the Sand Dunes Club Path. We are so glad this loggerhead apparently found her spot and laid those eggs which are likely the last of the season with only eleven days left to patrol.
