Nest #17: Another new nest found today. This one in the center area of the island at the 32A Access Path. Barbara Allen, Sue Googer and Jane Powers are part of a group of retired teachers who cover Thursdays from 30 to 49th Avenues. They spotted tracks at the 32A path this morning, but the eggs were laid on the flat part of the beach below the spring tide flood line where service trucks from IOPPD and IOPFD drive regularly. There were 80 eggs that were relocated at that same location to a suitable spot in the dunes.
