Susan Lipsey and Elizabeth Rast had just started their walk covering 9th Avenue to Breach Inlet when Susan discovered tracks near the 8th Avenue Access Path. This loggerhead's tracks were a little irregular perhaps from a damaged flipper, but they mostly measured 19-21". One egg was found broken in the clutch of 122 and it was used for the DNA sample. Once again a nest was laid in the Corps of Engineers' active renourishment area and had to be moved off the flat beach where trucks drive to a safer spot near 30th Avenue.
