Today there was another nest near 9th Avenue where the last three nests have been found. This morning Jeannie Milota and Peggy Klimecki found this one about three doors south of the path at 9th. It might be the same loggerhead who laid Nest #12 there two weeks ago. The eggs were shallow and scattered around under the sand. Since the never-ending beach renourishment project by the Corps of Engineers will cause disruption there later in the season, and the nest was below the spring tide line, the 108 eggs were taken to the 2900 block of Palm Blvd for relocation. One egg was about half the size of all the others.
