A loggerhead nested at Station 29 near Breach Inlet on Sullivan's last night. The tracks were discovered by Michael and Ashley Kirshtein and their "granddog" Honey while they did their Monday patrol with Cyndy Ewing helping to cover that section. We think this was the same turtle who made two false crawls yesterday near Station 16 because of a right flipper abnormality in the tracks. We know she was glad to get rid of this very large clutch of 153 eggs weighing her down. She laid them low on the beach at the base of the newly created dune from this year's renourishment project near the inlet. We relocated them to a beautiful dune not far from Station 26 for incubation.
